The Season of Holiday Magic is back for 2026!
Downtown Ortonville is getting ready to sparkle! From November 27 through December 19, it’s the Season of Holiday Magic, and every week there’s somewhere to shop, something to make, and plenty to enjoy.
It all starts Thanksgiving weekend with Black Friday and Small Business Saturday. If you’re hunting for gifts, this is a great time to do it close to home. The Tinsel & Treasures vendor market is making its debut at the Old Town Hall, and you’ll find special holiday shopping and sales at Hill Building, Moon Body Works (featuring Lilly’s Lather), and Daisy Rose Vintage. And of course, our old standbys: Hamilton’s, Q’s Quilting, and Willow Pointe. Lemon Lime Tattoo also has holiday gift certificates and specials if you want a gift that’s truly different.
Then on Friday, December 4, we have the Lighted Christmas Parade. There will be lights, music, and food trucks, plus Candy Cane Lane for the kids (and kids at heart!) at the Heritage Pocket Park. The next day, Saturday, December 5, is Christmas in the Village, so come downtown, wander around, and say hi to your neighbors.
Whichever day you come, make it a day out. Downtown is open all season, and every Friday and Saturday you’ll find special shopping at Tinsel & Treasures, the Hill Building, Moon Body Works, and Daisy Rose Vintage. Grab a meal at the Village Pub, get some barbecue at JB’s BBQ, or keep it simple at A&W.
Our workshops are a great way to make your own holiday decorations and handmade gifts, either with friends or with the kids. This season is about more than checking names off your list. It’s about getting together, starting traditions, and supporting the small businesses and local makers who make our community special.
