Art at the Mill - Ortonville, MI - 2025
Event Information:
Art at the Mill, hosted by the Ortonville Downtown Development Authority and the Old Mill Museum, launches the first annual celebration of art, history, and community in the heart of Ortonville. This all-day event will take place on Saturday, September 27th, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, welcoming residents and visitors to explore juried artistry and heritage at the historic Old Mill site.
Art at the Mill aims to showcase a diverse group of fine artists and makers offering high-quality, handmade goods. As a new signature event for the DDA and Old Mill Museum, it serves to support creativity while bringing foot traffic to the Historical Village of Ortonville.

Rain or Shine Event
Set Up starts at 6am on Saturday. Friday Night set up by request, 5:00pm to 9:00pm
We ask is that all exhibits be set up by 9:30 AM and remain open the entire length of the show, which concludes on Saturday at 6 PM. Volunteers will be available to assist you during Friday night and Saturday morning setup. At least 3 weeks prior to the show, you will receive your digital artist packet. This will contain your set-up instructions, booth number, map, parking instructions. If you selected the option of partial setup on Friday night, be aware that the area is open to pedestrians and security will not be provided overnight (however, police will be on patrol). Olivia Colletti Art LLC, The Old Mill Historical Society, the Ortonville DDA, or the City of Ortonville will not be responsible for loss or damage to Art at the Mill participants property in any way or at any time.
Vendors must supply their tent, tables, chairs, etc. Event will provide a 10x10 space. Artists requiring electricity are responsible for supplying their own extension cords and will be charged a $25 fee for electrical access. The cords must be damage free, heavy duty, three-prong grounded, outdoor rated, able to carry 15 amps and be a minimum of 100 feet long. Artists are allowed and encouraged to create their art live in their booths (Let us know if we need to make any accommodations for this to happen).
Rules and Regulations:
There are ~30 juried booth spaces available.
Only original work handmade by the displaying artist(s) is eligible for sale, including authors. The exhibitor must be the designer and creator of the art. Mediums include: ceramics, digital media, drawing, fiber, folk/traditional arts, glass, jewelry, leather, metalwork, mixed media, other, painting, papermaking/book arts, photography, printmaking, sculpture, and woodwork. Artists must be present with their work for the entire event.
Jury:
The Ortonville Art at the Mill event will be juried by a committee to create a quality, inclusive, and balanced show.Jury Notification:
Applicants will be notified of jury status no later than August 1st, 2025.
Booth Information:
Application Fee:
A $25 non-refundable application fee is due with the application. Due to the costs associated with preparing to run the show, the application fee cannot be refunded under any circumstances.
Booth Fee:
Upon acceptance, the $100 booth fee will be due by September 13th, 2025. $50 for nonprofits. Food truck vendors – we reserve the right to negotiate pricing dependent on the type of food/vehicle.
Refund Policy
No refunds will be issued after full payment and application are received and processed. No refunds will be given due to cancellation of the event by local authorities or due to weather or force majeure.

Computer monitor, individually by each juror.
Within a medium category, applications are sorted and viewed by:
Application Received (date the application was submitted).
Application review timing:
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, in the order they are received. Artists will be notified of their jury status at the latest by August 1st (if not within 2–3 weeks of submission).
Scoring system by jurors:
Each juror independently score applications on a 1-5 scale.

Jury format:
Jurors review applications individually, not in a convened group setting.
