We’re excited to announce that the Ortonville Historical Audio Tour is officially up and running! Whether you're a longtime local or a curious visitor, this interactive walking tour is your chance to connect with Ortonville's past in a whole new way.
This mobile-based audio experience highlights 12 historic locations throughout Downtown Ortonville, sharing the stories behind the buildings and people who shaped our village—from the founding journey of Amos Orton to the legacy of the Old Mill and beyond.
What Is the Audio Tour?
The tour is part of a larger effort to preserve and promote local history using modern technology. At each of the 12 tour stops, visitors can access professionally recorded narrations—voiced by Brandon High School students—that tell the fascinating story of Ortonville’s early days.
Soon, you'll also spot permanent signs posted throughout the village to mark each location and make it even easier to follow along.
